Now more than ever we need a Common Sense leader representing Bedford in the New Hampshire House. Someone who supports fiscal responsibility and quality education. Someone who has run a business and understands the impact of taxes on small businesses owners. Someone who understands military service and protects our sons, daughters, and members of our National Guard ensuring they are properly funded, trained, and ready to respond when our country calls. Colonel Pete Kujawski USA(Ret) is that individual, a man who was responsible for protecting New England during the 9/11 attacks. Pete’s five children attended Bedford schools, he recognizes the quality of education they provide. Active in his community, he volunteers as a youth coach, member of the Knights of Columbus and is active in his church. Pete’s been a small business owner and run mid sized companies as an executive. He’s lived and worked in five different states including MA, MD and California, he knows the impact of business and sales taxes on our wallet and will protect our New Hampshire Advantage. Pete is the type of common sense leader who represents all of Bedford’s citizens rather than a partisan politician. We need more leaders like Pete and I encourage you to support him on November 3rd!

By the middle of October the sun is over Bedford for a good deal less of the day, and the bathroom is the room where you notice it first. Lights go on earlier. A shower that read as perfectly fine all summer is now a lit box in a dim room, and if that room opens onto a hallway or shares a vanity, clear glass stops being the obvious answer. Frosted is the usual fix. It is acid etched on one face, which scatters the light instead of stopping it, so the room stays bright while the shower stops being a window, and the Bedford team at IDEAL Shower Doors carries it in 3/8 inch and 1/2 inch. Rain glass is the other half of that conversation, and it is the one people tend to pick once they have seen it in person: 3/8 inch, with a vertical rippled texture that looks roughly like a window in a downpour. It obscures the view without the flat, solid look frosted has. The vertical run of the pattern also lends a bathroom a sense of height, which photographs never quite capture.

IDEAL Crystal Clear Low Iron Shower Glass

Some people do not want texture at all. If the layout already handles privacy, an alcove, a partition, a door that opens the right way, then the question becomes how honest the glass is about color. Standard clear glass carries iron, and iron reads as a faint green cast that sits between you and the tile. IDEAL Crystal Clear is the low iron version, with far less of it. Which matters most in a room where you chose the tile carefully. The frameless glass specialists serving Bedford, Merrimack and Manchester will quote Crystal Clear and standard clear as separate lines on the estimate, so you can decide with both numbers in front of you.

Here is where the privacy question gets practical.

Where the bathroom door swings. Where the vanity mirror sits. Whether there is a window over the tub. All of that decides how much of the shower is visible and from where, and none of it is standard from one house to the next. Older homes around town rarely have square walls, and newer builds off South River Road put the shower in places that look fine on a plan and read differently once you are standing in the room. Every enclosure IDEAL Shower Doors builds is fabricated to measurements taken in the home, irregular shapes included, down to the notches that wrap a bench or a knee wall. So the glass choice follows the layout rather than fighting it.

Nothing gets priced until someone has measured the opening, so that is where this starts. A quote follows within 48 hours. Design takes a week or two after that, and installation another two to four, though some projects sit outside those ranges. If the shower in the hall bath has spent a season being a little too visible, call the Bedford glass shower door team at (603) 945-8755 or request a quote, and ask for frosted and rain samples at the measurement so you can compare them in the room they are going in.
