Clerk Fights Off Alleged Robber with Shoe

Queen City police are asking for assistance in ID'ing potential suspects in two separate incident this weekend.

Manchester Police are requesting assistance from the public with two recent robbery cases in the Queen City this weekend.

On Nov. 27, 2015, officers responded to an attempted robbery at the AMT Market, located at 384 Massabesic St. The attempted robbery took place approximately 6 p.m. The clerk stated he was behind the counter when an unknown assailant walked into his store and demanded cash. The suspect did not display a weapon or allude to having a weapon.

The clerk refused to concede to the robbery and attempted to remove his shoe to strike the man. The clerk’s actions caused the man to flee without any money. The suspect is described as a caucasian Male between 5-feet, 5-inches tall, to 5-feet, 5-seven inches tall with an unknown weight. He was last seen wearing a blue hooded sweatshirt, with the hood concealing his face and dark colored pants.

The next day, around 7 p.m., officers responded to Gosselin’s Superette, located at 706 Somerville St. for a robbery. The clerk stated a masked man entered the store and immediately demanded cash. She was extremely shaken from the incident, so she handed him an undisclosed amount of cash before he left the store.

The victim described the suspect as a caucasian male, between 18-26 years of age with an average build and unknown height. He was last seen wearing a light gray hooded sweatshirt, blue jeans, dark colored shoes with a white stripe on the rear and dark wool gloves. He also had a light colored piece of cloth concealing his face.

Video stills were captured from the Gosselin’s Superette. Police are working on trying to obtain more footage.
