Convict Escapes From NH Correctional Facility In Manchester
David Melanson, convicted on drug, accomplice kidnapping and robbery charges in 2018, did not return from work assignment Sunday night.

MANCHESTER, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is looking for a man convicted of drug charges, accomplice kidnapping and robbery after he failed to return to the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit following work Sunday night. David Melanson, 26, was placed on "escape" status at 10:45 Sunday night after he did not return from his work assignment on South Willow Street.
Melanson was sentenced to 2½ to 5 years in prison in 2018 with a minimum parole date of June 4, 2020 and maximum release date of Dec. 6, 2022.
He is described as 5 feet, 9 inches tall with brown hair, blue eyes and a tattoo on his neck.
