Convicted NH Felon Caught Firing Rifle Near Apartment Complex: Cops
Jafet Centeno was arrested yesterday after allegedly shooting a rifle. He was arrested on a conspiracy to commit robbery charge last year.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local teen was arrested and held yesterday on numerous charges after allegedly firing a rifle near an apartment building in the Queen City. Jafet Centeno, 19, of Manchester, was arrested on Oct. 19, 2017, and charged with reckless conduct, convicted felon in possession of a firearm, and violation of bail conditions. Officers were called to Eastern Avenue at around 11:15 a.m. after residents in the area reported hearing multiple gunshots, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

An officer “observed a lone male with a rifle standing in the footpath of the woods located behind the Eastern Avenue apartment complex” who “dropped the rifle and complied with the officers’ commands as he investigated the reports of shots fired,” O’Keefe stated. The man – Centeno – was identified and searched. Police allegedly found a loaded rifle magazine in his pocket along with a .22 caliber rifle by his side.
Centeno was arrested and since he was a convicted felon – he was arrested on conspiracy to commit robbery and resisting charges in October 2016, along with three juveniles, according to ManchesterLinkInk.com – and out on bail due to other charges, more charges were added to his docket. He was scheduled to be arraigned in court today.

Previously, according to reports online, he was also arrested on receiving stolen property and domestic-criminal threatening charges.
