A woman alleged that Bartosak appeared at her apartment on Country Club Lane in Manchester at around 12:45 a.m. on Monday, allegedly in an intoxicated state, and began a verbal altercation about their relationship and an accusation of infidelity. It then reportedly got violent.

“The victim stated Bartosak placed his hands around her neck on multiple occasions, assaulted her with both an open hand and a closed fist over the course of several hours,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department. “She claimed Bartosak also threatened her on numerous occasions, so she ultimately stayed awake for the remainder of the night before going to work in the morning.”

The woman alleged that Bartosak sent her text messages a number of times during the course of the day while she was at work. At 6:30 p.m., he allegedly showed up at her place of employment and she called police.

“(Bartosak) remained seated in his vehicle as she spoke with officers,” O’Keefe stated. “The officers located him inside of his vehicle and gathered enough probable cause to arrest him.”

According to WMUR-TV, Bartosak is a goalie for the Manchester Monarchs, the farm team of the Ontario Reign. He moved with the team to Ontario but played with the Monarchs on Friday and Sunday. A team spokesperson issued a statement calling the allegations “a very serious matter” and not representative of the “type of behavior” expected from players.

Bartosak was freed on $10,000 cash bail and is due in court on Dec. 16, 2015.
