Cormier Announces Run For Executive Council District 4
Grassroots activist, former state Rep., says if elected, she'll work to properly bid and award contracts ad focus on New Hampshire First.

HOOKSETT, NH — Jane Cormier, a former state Representative, has announced that she will be running for the District 4 Executive Council seat. The seat includes Manchester, the state's largest city, as well as Bedford, Londonderry, and a number of towns that border Concord, including Allenstown, Bow, Chichester, and Epsom. The candidate, who is an opera singer, has been a very active conservative, including at the grassroots level for many years, working for small, efficient state government and individual liberty.
“The Executive Council provides many important responsibilities to the citizens of New Hampshire, including the oversight and approval of approximately $5.2 billion dollars of the annual expenditures that are appropriated by the legislature,” she said in a press statement announcing her campaign. “We need to ensure that contracts are properly bid and awarded. Sole source contracts should be the exception, not the rule. Unfortunately, it seems a significant amount of money is spent outside of New Hampshire, and it's time to put New Hampshire's interests ahead of the special interest groups.”
During her time as a state representative, Cormier received high fiscal and Constitutional ratings from many of the Granite State's independent watchdog groups, she noted, and intended to bring those attributes to the Executive Council.

“The Executive Councilors vote to confirm or reject the appointments of citizens to more than 300 important, influential positions each biennium – including Supreme Court Justices, the Attorney General, Agency Heads, Commissioners and many more,” she said, adding, “I will vote to confirm only those candidates who will be guided by constitutional and fiscally conservative principals, and who will put New Hampshire First in all of their decisions."
Cormier served as the president of New Hampshire Right to Life from 2014 to 2018. She teaches at The Founders Academy in Manchester as Choral Director and has worked in the New Hampshire non-profit sector for more than 30 years.
