Crashes Lead To OUI Charges For 2
Cops: Irene Monroy rolled her vehicle while allegedly drunk driving last nigth; Eugene Langer reportedly crashed into a tree this morning.
MANCHESTER, NH — Two people were arrested during the last 12 hours after allegedly drunk driving and crashing vehicles in the Queen City, according to police. Irene Monroy, 32, of South Beech Street in Manchester, was arrested on Aug. 27, 2017, for operating under the influence of liquor and conduct after an accident. Eugene Langer, 34, of Pine Street in Manchester, was arrested on Aug. 28, 2017, for operating under the influence of liquor.

“When he arrived at the scene, he observed a single vehicle in the roadway that had turned over onto the driver’s side,” according to Sgt. Richard Brown of the Manchester Police Department. “The investigation revealed she had been driving on South Willow Street when it appears she lost control of the vehicle, a Hyundai Tucson, and crashed before making her way to Gold Street where she eventually flipped the vehicle after another crash.”
Monroy was treated at the scene by Manchester Fire and Rescue teams and AMR. She was released on $1,000 cash bail and is due in court on Sept. 15.

At just after 1 a.m. this morning, a different officer was called to the intersection of Elm and Pennacook streets for a report of a single-vehicle crash – a Subaru Legacy into a tree. The driver – Langer – was not injured but was charged with drunk driving. He was released on a summons and is due in court on Sept. 12.
