Dems Host Forum For NH’s 1st Congressional District Primary

The six announced candidates vying for the Democratic nomination have been invited to participate in an event on Dec. 2, in Manchester.

MANCHESTER, NH — The 2018 primary election is nearly nine months away but that isn’t stopping Democrats in New Hampshire from putting together a forum for possible candidates in the 1st Congressional District seat. On Saturday, at the New Hampshire Democratic Party’s state committee winter meeting, six of the announced candidates vying for the nomination, being vacated by current U.S. Rep. Carol Shea-Porter, will participate in a forum. State Rep. Mark MacKenzie, state Rep. Mindi Messmer, Attorney Terence O'Rourke, Executive Councilor Chris Pappas, Former Mayor Lincoln Soldati, and Former Assistant Secretary Maura Sullivan have all been invited to attend, according to the NHDP.

The forum, the party noted, will be the first time all six candidates will appear on one stage. Each candidate will be given five minutes to speak.

The event at the Manchester Public Library, at 405 Pine St. in Manchester, is open to any registered Democrat in New Hampshire but guests are asked to pre-register here or at nhdp.org.
