Derryfield School College Counselor Named “Professional of the Year” by NEACAC
Director of College Counseling and Outreach Brennan Barnard was selected for one of this year's NEACAC "Professional of the Year" Awards.

The Derryfield School in Manchester is proud to announce that Director of College Counseling and Outreach Brennan Barnard was selected for one of this year’s NEACAC “Professional of the Year” Awards, presented by the New England Association for College Admission Counseling. This award recognizes the outstanding professional contributions Mr. Barnard has made in the area of college admissions counseling and recognizes his commitment to NEACAC. He was nominated by Tim Cushing of Wheaton College who provided the committee with an impressive and ringing endorsement. Mr. Barnard, who this spring will be finishing his ninth year leading the college counseling office at Derryfield, was one of six recipients of the 2017 award. Mr. Barnard has been a regular contributor of blogs for The Concord Monitor, Washington Post, Huffington Post, and New York Times, sharing his expertise on the college process. Mr. Barnard has served on the regional council of the College Board, is a current member of the New Hampshire Scholar Advisory Board, and volunteers as a firefighter in Hopkinton.
