
The Vernal Equinox was recorded at 1:14 a.m. today to mark the earliest start to spring in 116 years, The Old Farmer's Almanac reports.

And at Bedford High School, the early spring weather inspired Principal William Hagen to remind the studentry to continue to support the school dress code. Warm weather may make the third floor uncomfortable at times, but it is not "a ticket to come to school in what I call 'beachwear,'" Hagen wrote Monday in his blog.
