Tonight, from 7-9 p.m. in the Bedford High School Theater, Paralympic Hall of Famer Chris Waddell will host a screening of his award-winning documentary film about his almost entirely unassisted paraplegic courageous climb of Mt. Kilimanjaro. 'One Revolution' tells the amazing story of Waddell’s courageous climb to the top of Mt. Kilimanjaro using a specially designed hand cycle.
Paralyzed in 1988 while ski racing for Middlebury College, Chris Waddell went on to become one of the most decorated Paralympic athletes, earning 13 medals over seven games. He is a World Championship skier and wheelchair racer, and is bringing his inspirational story to the Bedford community.
Compelled to change the way that others perceive those with disabilities, Waddell also founded One Revolution Foundation. The foundation’s mission is to change the way that the world sees people with disabilities by demonstrating the common journey of challenge.
