Say Thank You to Chief Bailey

Police Chief David Bailey, who retired from full-time duty on May 31 after 40 years of service, is holding an informal cookout to personally say goodbye to the people of Bedford.

The BBQ will be held at the at 55 Constitution Dr. on Friday, July 15, from 12 p.m. to 2 p.m. The free-of-charge event, said Bailey, will take place rain or shine.

"Many did not know I had a surprise party earlier in June or couldn’t get tickets," he said. "Everyone is invited, even if they just come to see if I am really retiring."
