Family-Run Drug Ring Busted, Police Say

Six people—including a father and his two sons—were charged Tuesday with running a “large-scale” cocaine and OxyContin distribution operation based in Manchester.

Manchester police and federal Drug Enforcement Administration agents raided two addresses (121 Wellington Ter. and 105 Garden Dr.) Tuesday morning and seized 7 ounces of cocaine, 850 OxyContin pills, $8,000, and a handgun.

Jose Rosario Jr., 24, was the alleged ringleader of the operation. His father, Jose Sr., and brother, Victor, also participated, police said.

These are the six who were arrested and their charges:

Jose Rosario, Jr., 24

• Running a drug enterprise
• Criminal liability to commit a drug sale
• 2 counts of selling drugs

Jose Rosario, Sr., 42

• 5 counts of selling drugs
• Drug possession with intent to distribute

Victor Rosario, 22

• 2 counts of selling drugs

Albert Fortuna, 19

• Conspiracy to sell drugs

Jonathan Morillo DeJesus , 23

• Selling drugs
• Criminal liability to commit a drug sale
• Drug possession with intent to distribute

Llias Kostopoulos, 21

• 3 counts of selling drugs

Police said they investigated the ring for eight months.
