Less than an hour and a half later, police were sent to a rollover crash at Liberty Hill Road and Highland Farms Road. The driver – a teen – was transported to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries and charged later. In a statement, Chief John J. Bryfonski of the Bedford Police Department noted that officers were also investigating an alleged underage party that occurred that night, too, and “believe the driver may have been coming from the party prior to the crash.”
Drury was arrested at around 4:45 p.m. after police were sent to the Circle K/Irving on Technology Drive for reports of an unresponsive woman in the driver’s seat of a vehicle at the gas pump. Police alleged that she was “highly intoxicated” and was taken to the hospital.
At around 3 a.m. on Sunday, police pulled over another vehicle in the area of Route 101 and South River Road for various moving violations. The driver – Goodhue – was later arrested.
"This is an extraordinary level of activity for such a short period of time," Bryfonski said. "The Bedford Police Department does not take drunk driving lightly. Adults should always find a safe, sober ride home, or expect to be pulled over and charged if they choose to drive under the influence."
