Free Education Series for Alzheimer's Caregivers Open to the Public

Workshops on Essential Skills for Family Caregivers will be presented in March.

The Alzheimer’s Association is presenting a series of workshops on Essential Skills for Family Caregivers. The first workshop in this series will be held Thursday, March 12, from 4 to 6 p.m., at the Alzheimer’s Association, 166 South River Road in Bedford.

Two additional workshops will follow at the same time and place March 19 and 26.

The Essential Skills for Family Caregivers series provides education and practical tools to those caring for someone with dementia. The goal of the series is to Improve day-to-day living and overall quality of life for the person with dementia and the caregiver. The series covers communication techniques, strategies to manage difficult behaviors and safety in the home. Essential Skills is free and intended for family caregivers.
