Free Program on the Basics of Dementia Held April 14

The program is an introduction to people interested in learning more about Alzheimer's.

BEDFORD, NH - The Alzheimer’s Association is presenting a workshop to cover the basic information on Alzheimer's and related dementias from 4 to 6 p.m. on Thursday, April 14, 2016, at the Alzheimer's Association, 166 South River Road in Bedford, according to a press statement. The workshop is free and open to the public.

“Alzheimer's disease is not a normal part of aging,” said Susan Antkowiak, Vice President of Programs & Services, Alzheimer's Association, Massachusetts and New Hampshire Chapter. “The Basics program is a great introduction for people who are interested in learning more about Alzheimer's and related dementias.”

The Basics offers general information on Alzheimer's and related dementias, covers the benefits of early detection, outlines causes and risk factors, explains treatment, and introduces services offered by the Alzheimer's Association for people with Alzheimer's disease and related dementias and their caregivers.
