Girl Arrested On First-Degree Assault Charges After Double-Stabbing In Manchester
A 15-year-old was accused of stabbing other teens and assaulting a cop after an early morning fight on Laurel Street in Manchester Saturday.
MANCHESTER, NH — A local girl faces several charges after being accused of stabbing two other teens and assaulting a cop while resisting arrest, according to Manchester police.
Officers were sent to a home in the area of Laurel and Maple streets for a report of a stabbing. When they arrived, according to Heather Hamel, a public information officer for the Manchester Police Department, the officers found a girl, 16, suffering from multiple stab wounds. A man, 18, had a broken ankle, she said.
“Officers learned that the pair had been involved in a physical fight with another female, and the injuries happened during that altercation,” Hamel said.

Police later learned another man, 18, was at Catholic Medical Center with a stab wound to the upper back. Hamel said he, too, was involved in the Laurel Street altercation.
“The stab wounds were serious,” she said, “but not life-threatening.”

Police identified a suspect, another girl, 15, and she was arrested on attempted first-degree assault and two first-degree assault charges, all felonies. During the course of being arrested, the girl resisted arrest and assaulted a police officer, Hamel said, which led to more charges against her.
Her name is not being released because she is a juvenile.
