Golf Tournament Raised $105,000 For CASA Of New Hampshire
The John Zahr Memorial Golf Tournament was held Aug. 30 at Manchester Country Club.

CASA of New Hampshire, a nonprofit that trains volunteers to advocate for abused and neglected children, held its tenth and final John Zahr Memorial Golf Tournament at Manchester Country Club on Aug. 30, raising $105,000. The tournament supports CASA’s endowment fund created in John Zahr’s memory.

Since its start in 2010 following Zahr’s sudden passing, the tournament has raised more than $563,000.
“My father was a committed supporter of CASA, and my family is so grateful for this tournament that has raised more than half a million dollars in his name over the last ten years,” his son, John Zahr, said in his remarks to the tournament participants.

More than 30 teams of four played 18-holes of golf to compete for first place. The first, second, and third place winners, as well as the winner of the 50/50 raffle, donated their winnings back to the endowment fund, collectively donating $2,110 in prizes.
John Zahr, President and CEO of Harvey Construction, gave unselfishly of his time and talent to both his industry and to the community at large. John’s legacy lives on through an endowment fund to support the general operations of CASA of NH.
For 32 years, CASA of New Hampshire has provided a voice for abused and neglected children in New Hampshire by empowering a statewide network of trained volunteers to advocate on their behalf so they can thrive in safe, permanent homes.
