Heavy Rain, Flooding Expected to Stretch Into Christmas

The National Weather Service is predicting heavy rain and possible flooding on Christmas Eve and continuing into Christmas.

Heavy rain is expected to start on Wednesday afternoon with the heaviest rain coming Wednesday night.

NWS is predicting 1 to 3 inches of rain and said that ”urban and poor drainage flooding will result in rises in some of the faster-reaching creeks and streams.”

“Those living in areas prone to flooding should be prepared to take action should flooding develop,” said the NWS.
