Help Bedford's National History Day Winners Get to D.C.

Can you help the Ross A Lurgio Middle School get to the contest in June?

A parent has put together a GoFundMe page to assist in getting Bedford’s National History Day winners to Washington, D.C. later this year.

Here are is the link to help out and some of the details:

Ten students from Lurgio Middle School qualified to advance to the National competition held at the University of Maryland from June 14-18, 2015. The cost of the trip is approximately $1,000 per student. We are hoping to raise money to help defray the cost and are asking for assistance. Our goal is to have the money for the trip raised by May 29. Any amount that you would be willing to donate would be gratefully received and, of course, all donations are tax deductible!

The chance to attend a National History Day contest is an educational opportunity like few others. It allows students to refine their critical thinking and analytical skills while participating in authentic historical research. There are also opportunities to visit historic sites in the nation’s capital, since the University of Maryland is a short transit ride away from Washington, D.C. Your support will be greatly appreciated. If you can donate, your contribution is tax deductible (our Tax ID is 02-6000060). If you would like more information, please visit the NHD website at NHD.org. Thank you for your time.
