Bulldogs clipped by PHS in D-II boys basketball finale.
If the memory of a 41-6 loss to Portsmouth's High School's football team in November's state Division III football championship wasn't enough, Bedford fans and players now have another tough setback to deposit in their memory banks.
This past Saturday, March 17, the fifth-seeded Bulldogs met the No. 2 Clippers on the Lundholm Gymnasium hardwood at the University of New Hampshire, and, in front of a packed house, dropped a 58-33 decision to finish Division II runner-up.
According to the Union Leader, the title tilt represented Portsmouth's 18th championship in 30 trips to the state finale.

For Bulldogs, who graduate only three seniors, it was their first appearance in the contest.
Kamahl Walker led the victors with 22 points, three of which came on a 30-foot shot from half court that found its mark at the buzzer ending the first quarter.
“That was a dagger, a dagger, a dagger, and I thought he unleashed it from about 150 feet out,” Bedford coach John Langlois told the UL.
