Inmate Missing from Transitional Housing Unit

NH DOC is looking for Bruno Joseph Martin. Have you seen him?

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections is reporting that a minimum security inmate walked away from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester on Thursday, July 23, 2015, according to Jeffrey Lyons, the public information officer for the NH DOC.

Bruno Joseph Martin, 41, with a last known residence of Salem, left the facility yesterday morning to go to work and failed to return at his scheduled time of 10 p.m. He was placed on escape status shortly before midnight.

Martin is described as a white male, 5-feet, 7-inches tall, 225 lbs., with brown hair and hazel eyes. He has tattoos on his back, right forearm, left wrist, left arm, and right arm.

Martin was sentenced in Rockingham County Superior Court to two to four years for burglary with 169 days of time served credited to his sentence. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison on June 8, 2014, and was eligible for parole Dec. 21, 2015. His sentence will end Dec. 20, 2017. A walkaway is considered an escape and an escape conviction is a Class B felony punishable by 3.5 to seven years in prison.

The Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau and the New Hampshire State Police are investigating. Anyone with information on this inmate’s whereabouts should contact their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
