Inmate Reported Missing from Transitional Housing Unit
New Hampshire Department of Corrections officials are looking for Stephen Elliot.

The New Hampshire Department of Corrections announced on Sept. 14, 2015, that a minimum security inmate from the Calumet Transitional Housing Unit in Manchester was placed on walkway status today, according to a press statement.
Stephen Ernest Elliot, 33, of Manchester, left the Lowell Street housing facility at approximately 6:35 a.m. to go to work. He arrived at work. Shortly after noon, his employer reported that he was missing. He was scheduled to return to the transitional housing unit at 7 p.m. He was placed on escape status at approximately 2:45 p.m.
Elliot is described as white, 5-feet, 9-inches tall, 190 lbs., with brown hair and brown eyes.

Elliot was convicted in Merrimack County Superior Court for theft by unauthorized taking and is serving a 1.5 year minimum to four years maximum prison sentence. He was admitted to the New Hampshire State Prison for Men on April 3, 2014, and is eligible for parole on Sept. 29, 2015. His maximum release date is April 1, 2018.
The New Hampshire State Police and the New Hampshire Department of Corrections Investigations Bureau are investigating. Anyone with information on his whereabouts should call their local law enforcement agency or the New Hampshire State Prison at 603-271-1801.
