Inspection Sticker Violation Leads to Teen Busted on Cocaine Dealing Charge: Cops

Police allegedly find Luis Agosto Guerrios in possession of 13 baggies of the drug after being arrested without a valid driver's license.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local teen is probably wishes he slapped an inspection sticker before getting into his 1998 Honda Civic on Saturday and reportedly drove it around the Queen City after a traffic stop led to a drug dealing charge, according to police. Luis Agosto Guerrios, 18, of Manchester, was arrested on Dec. 10, 2016, for possession of a controlled drug-cocaine with intent to distribute, operating without a valid license-second offense, and motor vehicle non-inspection.

According to press report, an officer reportedly saw the Civic driving on Barry Avenue at around 4:15 p.m. without an inspection sticker. The vehicle was stopped at Union and Manchester streets. After the vehicle was pulled over, the driver – later identified as Guerrios – “immediately exited the car and started to walk away from the running vehicle,” Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department alleged.

“A subsequent check revealed he did not have a valid New Hampshire driver’s license,” O’Keefe stated. “The officer also confirmed Guerrios had a prior conviction of driving without a valid license within the past year, so he was placed into custody. The officer located 13 small plastic bags containing a white powdery substance during a search incident to arrest.”

The white powder reportedly field test presumptive positive for cocaine, O’Keefe said, adding that based on the packaging and weight (16.5 grams) Guerrios was given a drug dealing charge. The vehicle was towed from the scene while Guerrios was processed and released after posting $3,500 cash bail.

Guerrios is due in court on Jan. 13, 2017.
