Jaywalking Teen Arrested on Drug Warrant: Cops

Police arrested Gabriel Skinner of Goffstown after he allegedly walked into the middle of a busy street.

MANCHESTER, NH — A local man was arrested last week on a drug warrant after police tried to talk to him about his jaywalking and he allegedly fled the scene, according to police in the Queen City. Gabriel Skinner, 18, of Palmer Road in Goffstown, was arrested on Sept. 16, 2016, on the warrant.

According to police, at around 9 p.m. last Friday, Elm Street was hopping, as it always is, and there was heavy traffic on the street. Officers reportedly saw a young man illegally cross Elm Street against the crosswalk near Lake Avenue.

The officers approached him in an effort to speak to him and he allegedly fled west on Granite Street – while nearly being hit by another car. The officers chased him, caught him, and after a check – and finding an active warrant for failure to appear on a drug charges – arrested him.

Skinner was arraigned on Monday.
