Why are you seeking elective office?
I love our community and want to help serve the needs of our families.
The single most pressing issue facing our (board, district, etc.) is _______, and this is what I intend to do about it.
Mental health is an extremely important issue to me thus I will approach all issues we face through that lens.
What are the critical differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?
If you are a challenger, in what way has the current board or officeholder failed the community (or district or constituency)
I think the current board is doing an excellent job and hope to be a positive addition to this team.
Describe the other issues that define your campaign platform.
What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?
I have been a resident of Bedford for over ten years with two boys currently in the Bedford School System. Over the years, I have volunteered in their various schools and have also worked as a youth suicide prevention educator in schools across the state of NH. As a result of these experiences, I have a deep understanding that schools are not simply a place where Math, English and Science are taught - they are so much more. They are places where teachers, students and families come together to connect, learn and build a community.
Bedford is an incredible community with an outstanding school system. I would be honored to fill the one year seat on the school board bringing a measured, thoughtful voice to all my decisions.
The best advice ever shared with me was:
What else would you like voters to know about yourself and your positions?
I am motivated to serve as a School Board Member to continue to make a difference for the future of our children. l am a responsible and balanced leader who will work to ensure that all sides of an issue are considered before decisions are made. I will rely on the experience of our trusted educators and administrators, as well as the latest research and data, to inform my judgment on difficult issues.
