Lachance Joins New Hampshire High Tech Council Board of Directors
The CPA brings extensive expertise with business issues facing tech companies.

The New Hampshire High Tech Council (Council) is pleased to welcome Peter C. Lachance, CPA, MST of Howe, Riley & Howe, PLLC to its board of directors, according to a press statement.
Lachance is a partner at the Manchester accounting firm who planted their roots in the city in the 1950s.
“Peter is a perfect fit for this board position,” said Matt Cookson, the Council’s executive director. “He has extensive expertise in the business issues that apply to technology companies and plays an integral role in the state’s startup community and has been actively involved in the Council for years as an event attendee and on our committees.”

In addition to tax reporting and planning, Lachance advises clients at Howe, Riley & Howe in complex tax and business matters such as buy/sell transactions, employee stock/incentive plans, entity formation, multi-state nexus issues and the R&D tax credit. His diverse client base includes privately held technology, life science, real estate, professional service and manufacturing organizations as well as individuals, trusts and estates. Lachance’s work experience includes corporate, partnership, individual, not-for-profit, estate and gift taxation.
“New Hampshire’s technology community continues to thrive, and I am looking forward to contributing to it in innovative ways through the New Hampshire High Tech Council,” Lachance said

Lachance received a Master of Science in Taxation from Bentley University, an MBA from the University of Massachusetts at Lowell and a Bachelor of Science in Actuarial Mathematics from Worcester Polytechnic Institute. He is a former board member and past chair of AlphaLoft (formerly the abiHub), a longtime member of the Council, and a member of other professional and civic organizations.
Prior to becoming a CPA, Lachance spent eight years with the global actuarial consulting firm Milliman, Inc. as an Actuarial Analyst and Technology Manager in its Boston office.
