Learn About Route 101 Improvements On Aug. 16
The NH Department of Transportation is hosting an "open house" in Bedford on Wednesday to talk about upcoming widening project.

BEDFORD, NH — The New Hampshire Department of Transportation will host a “construction open house” on Wednesday, Aug. 16, 2017, in Bedford for interested citizens to provide details on the upcoming widening of a two-mile section NH Route 101, according to a press statement. The event will take place at the Bedford Public Library, 3 Meetinghouse Road in Bedford. It will be held from 4:30 to 6 p.m.
"This is an opportunity for interested citizens to view the plans and project schedule, and to meet the contractor building the project," Bill Boynton said in a press statement. "NHDOT staff will be in attendance to discuss project details and answer questions." This project, which is getting underway this month, will reconstruct and widen NH 101 in Bedford to five lanes from NH 114 to Wallace Road. Two lanes of traffic will be maintained at all times during daytime hours. Continental Paving, Inc. of Londonderry is the contractor for the $15.8 million project, which has a final completion date of September 2019.
