LETTER: Anticipating the Future
Ryk Bullock discusses some of the project he and friends are currently helping organize.

To my Extended Family and Friends,
Enough time has passed and I have now had an opportunity to gather my thoughts and focus my efforts on other projects. As such, trusted friends and wonderfully important and appreciated part of past projects and functions, I would love to have you join in this next endeavor -- as well as a few others further down the road. The first couple of "working" projects on the board are:
- American Red Cross. To organize a blood drive here in Bedford. As you know, this is something I have always taken as a personal effort. This is something that is so rewarding in so many ways -- and effects so many of us one way or another.
Perhaps you saw the write-up in this past Sunday's Manchester Union Leader; but I'd like to bring to your attention a Blood Drive happening this coming Saturday: For Our Children Memorial Blood & Bone Marrow Drive Saturday, May 12 8:30am - 3:30 pm Radisson Inn & Expo Center (Manchester) For appointments, call Red Cross at 800-733-2767 or go online www.redcrossblood.org Sponsor Code 7898 Help us Honor our Children, Siblings & Grandchildren Give the Gift of Life in Their Memory Hosted by the Families of The Manchester-Nashua Area Chapter of THE COMPASSIONATE FRIENDS Support for families who have endured the loss of a precious child at any age, from any cause. www.tcfmanchester.org
- A Halloween Fundraiser for the . As you may know, our last Fundraiser netted over $5,000 for the ARL. Again, the Bullock Agency will cover all expenses. ALL monies raised will go straight to the Animal Rescue League. How will this work? For each child that comes knocking at 11 Meetinghouse Road on Halloween, we will ask for a sponsorship of 5¢, 10¢, 25¢, or whatever folks would like to donate/sponsor. At the end of the night we'll have a count of T-or-T'ers to share with our "sponsors." What we'll be looking for beforehand will include:
- Volunteers to help solicit sponsors for trick-or-treaters (individuals or businesses)
- Volunteers to help with possibly collecting checks from sponsors, whether by stopping by to pick up checks or calling businesses/individuals to let them know the number of children that participated.
You, as a member of the extended "family" have meant so much through the past 40+ years, I would love to keep you active with some other Bedford community-wide events. While there are other projects that I have slated, I prefer to keep the lines of communication open. Do you have a special "project" that you can see as being of interest to the community of Bedford? I'd love to hear from you!
