Local Woman Charged with Hiding Gun During Investigation

A local woman was arrested Thursday on charges she hid a gun during a police investigation.

Belinda Martinez, 44, of 30 Carroll St., Manchester, was charged with falsifying physical evidence.

Manchester police said they issued a warrant for her arrest in March but only caught her Thursday after conducting surveillance on a Manchester residence where she was rumored to be staying. At about 1:30 p.m., police said they saw her enter a vehicle. She was arrested during a traffic stop, police said.

Police said she hid a gun from a building on Merrimack Street during an investigation in December 2014.
