LTC Partners Collects 1,600 Literacy Kits to Benefit Seacoast Preschoolers In Support of United Way's K-Ready Kids Campaign

Company Continues Its Philanthropic Efforts in New Hampshire

Portsmouth, NH, June 14, 2016 - Employees at LTC Partners recently came together for the third year in a row to support the United Way of the Greater Seacoast's K-Ready Kids campaign by collecting more than 1,600 literacy kits to benefit preschoolers entering kindergarten in the fall. In addition, LTC Partners donated $10,000 to the organization.

In its fifth year, the K-Ready Kids campaign focuses on the fact that children who enter kindergarten ready to succeed are more likely to stay on track, read with skill by third grade, and graduate from high school. The United Way of the Greater Seacoast collected more than 2,000 literacy kits this year and delivered them to area child care centers, Head Starts, and nonprofits across the Seacoast.

"LTC Partners is proud to partner with the United Way of the Greater Seacoast to create a better start for our children's educational journey. We believe providing important learning resources at key stages of a child's development helps create the foundation for long-term success. And, this pays dividends for our community over time in so many ways," said Brian Frankenfield, executive sponsor of corporate giving for LTC Partners.

LTC Partners encouraged employee participation in the K-Ready Kids campaign by promoting a friendly internal competition, resulting in 12 competitive employee teams with fun names like "Literacy League," "Kreative Kids," and "Goodnight, Moon; Hello, Kindergarten." Of the 1,600 kits collected, "Team Just Kiddin'" took the top spot, collecting 576 literacy kits.

"United Way of the Greater Seacoast cannot thank LTC Partners enough for their partnership and their dedication to ensuring children enter school ready to learn," said Sarah Tremblay, volunteer engagement coordinator for the UWGS. "They continue to champion and increase their engagement with K-Ready Kids every year."
