Maine Man Indicted For Attempted Murder In Hillsborough County
Plus, NY woman indicted for throwing beer glass, alleged Allenstown strangler indicted, man allegedly slashed intimate partner with knife.
MANCHESTER, NH — The following people were indicted recently in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North.
Veronica Sanchez, 29, of 34th Street in Long Island, NY, for felony second-degree assault. On Nov. 5, 2017, she allegedly threw a heavy bar glass toward a woman she was arguing with in Manchester but struck another person in the head.
Keenan Saniatan, 31, of Turnpike Road in Allenstown, incarcerated at the time of the indictment, for felony second-degree assault. On Dec. 1, 2017, in Manchester, he allegedly strangled an intimate partner by her neck.

Musa Sheriff, 30, of Walnut Street in Manchester, for controlled drug act; acts prohibited-crack cocaine, a felony, as well as loitering or prowling allegedly on Nov. 24, 2017, in Manchester. Previously, according to the indictment, he has been convicted on a controlled drug charge.

Jason Shookus, 35, of Nottingham Road in Raymond, on two felony controlled drug act; acts prohibited-methamphetamine, amphetamine allegedly on April 27, 2018, in Manchester
James Simard, 26, of Garden Walk Drive in Manchester, on two felony counts of first-degree assault as well as carrying or selling weapons-metallic knuckles. On Aug. 16, 2017, in Manchester, he allegedly struck another person in the face causing them to fall unconscious.
Paul Sousa, 26, of North Stark Highway in Weare, for felony riot – engaging in activity with others, shouting and blocking officers, resulting in injury – as well as criminal mischief – striking an Antrim police cruiser – allegedly on Oct. 22, 2017, in Hillsboro.
Jeremy C. Sterling, 25, pictured in orange, of Deering Ridge Road in East Waterboro, ME, for attempted first-degree murder, two counts of reckless conduct, and two counts of first-degree assault, all felonies. On Nov. 23, 2017, he allegedly shot a person multiple times in the body and placed other residents on Brown Avenue in danger by discharging the firearm in the direction of a residence.
James Stegall, 41, pictured in gray, of Bodwell Road in Manchester, on two counts of first-degree assault-domestic violence, second-degree assault-domestic violence, criminal threatening-domestic violence, all felonies, as well as domestic violence-simple assault and criminal mischief. Between Nov. 28, and Nov. 29, 2017, he allegedly swung a knife at an intimate partner cutting her in the hand and thigh and strangled her while saying words to the effect of, “I am going to kill you.” He also reportedly slapped the woman and smashed her iPad.
