Man Purposefully Crashes into Another Vehicle on Route 101: Cops

Bedford Police: Rediet Teferra allegedly struck another vehicle after an altercation in apparent road rage incident.

BEDFORD, NH — A Queen City man is due in court next month on charges after allegedly purposely striking another vehicle with his car after an altercation on Route 101 on Thursday night, according to police. Rediet Teferra, 26, of Manchester, was arrested on Oct. 6, 2016, and charged with felony reckless conduct and conduct after an accident.

At just before 6 p.m., police were called after a witness reported seeing a crash on Route 101 at Constitution Drive. The witness followed one of the vehicles that left the scene to the intersection of Route 114 and New Boston Road. At that time, police stopped the vehicle.

“Through an initial investigation, police determined that Teferra intentionally struck another vehicle in the area of Route 101 and Constitution Drive while the vehicle's operator was out of the car,” according to press statement by Chief John Bryfonski of the Bedford Police Department. “Teferra and the driver of the other vehicle had allegedly gotten into an altercation while stopped at the light at Route 101 and Constitution Drive, and following the incident, Teferra left the scene, striking the other person's vehicle in the process.”

Teferra was arrested, processed, and released. He’s due in Merrimack District Court on Nov. 22.
