Manchester Felon Accused Of Gun Threat Downtown

MANCHESTER, NH — A Queen City man is facing multiple felony charges after being accused of pointing a handgun at another driver in Downtown Manchester on June 2.

According to police, Marc Temple, 35, was accused of pointing a handgun at another driver on Elm Street. The complainant, Heather Hamel, a public information officer for the Manchester Police, said he was “interacting with a man” driving a Chrysler 300 in the area of Queen City Avenue.

“He told police he continued driving northbound on Elm Street when the Chrysler pulled to the side of the road, allowing him to pass,” she said. “As he did so, the driver pointed a gun at him.”

Police investigated the claim and the car, which led to Temple, who was arrested on a warrant on a felony criminal threatening with a firearm charge.

“Temple was also determined to be a convicted felon and was subsequently charged with felon in possession of a dangerous weapon,” Hamel said.

According to superior court records, when he was arraigned on Thursday, a third felony charge, reckless conduct-deadly weapon, was added to his counts. Temple is due back in court for a dispositional conference hearing on Aug. 15.

According to court records, Temple is a felon due to a guilty plea on acts prohibited; controlled drug act in May 2012 after an incident in Manchester in October 2011. He also pleaded guilty to felony controlled drug: acts prohibited, felony controlled drug-sale, cocaine, and driving while intoxicated charges in March 2013 after an incident in Bow in April 2012.
