Manchester Police Arrest Man After Early Morning Stabbing on Myrtle Street

MANCHESTER, NH — A domestic dispute turned violent in the early hours of Sunday morning, leaving one man hospitalized and another behind bars, according to police.

Manchester officers responded to a residence on Myrtle Street at approximately 2 a.m. following reports of a domestic disturbance involving two men. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male victim outside the building suffering from a stab wound to the neck.

The victim was immediately transported to a local hospital. Officials have confirmed that while the injury was serious, it is considered non-life-threatening.

According to investigators, the incident began as a verbal argument inside an apartment. The altercation physical, culminating in the stabbing.

Police noted that several children were present inside the home when the violence occurred; fortunately, none of the children were physically harmed.

Following an on-scene investigation, police identified and apprehended Jonathan Davis, 38, of Manchester.

The multi-unit building at Myrtle and Pine streets was surrounded by crime scene tape. Detectives could be seen entering the building and exiting with evidence bags.
