Manchester Woman’s Body Found In The Merrimack River

Ashlee Krauss' body was found by a local homeowner Sunday along the river's shore; investigators want to speak to people who knew her.

MANCHESTER, NH — Manchester police, New Hampshire State Police Marine Patrol, and the state medical examiner’s office are investigating the death of a woman who possibly drowned in the Merrimack River recently.

Around noon on Sunday, the body of Ashlee Krauss, 29, of Manchester was found along the shore of the river in Manchester. First responders were called to the scene and her body was removed from their river.

“The body had been located by a homeowner who reported the incident,” Amber Lagace, the public information officer for the state police, said. “The investigation is active and ongoing.”

An autopsy on Krauss will be performed on Monday.
