Manhunt Underway for Alleged Murderer

NH AG: Billy Damuel Maldonado Cancel aka Billy Maldonado of Puerto Rico, allegedly shot Jonathan Vazquez-Ojeda in Manchester on Sept. 14.

MANCHESTER, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and Manchester Police Department have issued a warrant against a suspect that they alleged shot another man in Manchester three days ago, according to a press statement. A warrant was issued for Billy Damuel Maldonado Cancel, a.k.a. Billy Maldonado, 23, for allegedly knowingly causing the death of Jonathan Vazquez-Ojeda by shooting him with a firearm, according to Jay McCormack, an assistant attorney general.

The warrant was issued by a judge last night, according to the statement.

Maldonado, who is from Puerto Rico, is 5 feet, 7 inches tall and has short, dark hair, facial hair, and brown eyes.

“Mr. Maldonado may be armed with a firearm,” McCormack alleged. “Anyone who sees him is urged not to approach him, but to immediately call the police. It is possible that Maldonado has left the area.”
