Market Basket's 4 Percent Discount Ending
The year-long promotion will end Sat., Dec. 27.

Market Basket’s 4 percent discount will end Saturday.
The promotion started in January—shortly before the chain’s 25,000 workers went on strike, demanding the return of ousted CEO Arthur T. Demoulas. The workers got their wish—Demoulas this month finalized his $1.5 billion purchase of the chain following a bitter family feud with his cousin, Arthur S. Demoulas.
The Union Leader said there was speculation the 4 percent discount would be extended, but that didn’t end up being the case.
