Miami Fugitive Bagged After Defective Taillight Traffic Stop
Police in New Hampshire arrested Angel Lugo Perez of Manchester after a stop on Maple Street. He was wanted on a Florida drug charge.

MANCHESTER, NH — A fugitive from the Sunshine State wanted on a drug warrant was arrested in New Hampshire on Sunday after an early morning traffic stop, according to police. Angel Lugo Perez, 62, of Manchester, was arrested on an extraditable warrant on an outstanding drug charge out of Miami, FL, on July 23, 2017. According to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department, an officer stopped a vehicle on Maple Street at around 1:40 a.m.

The 1998 Toyota Camry, according to O’Keefe, had a defective taillight.

“The operator was identified through an expired New Hampshire driver’s license as Angel Lugo Perez, 62, of Manchester,” O’Keefe noted. “Dispatch notified the officer that Perez was wanted out of Miami, Florida, on an outstanding drug related warrant.”
Perez was arrested and taken into custody without incident. He was arraigned in Manchester District Court yesterday.
