The officer stopped the vehicle – a 2011 Nissan Altima – and saw a child in a car seat in the back of the vehicle “as well as a small piece of a plastic bag on the driver’s side floor mat,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department. (For more information on this and other neighborhood stories, subscribe to Bedford NH Patch to receive daily newsletters and breaking news alerts.)

“He questioned the operator who consented to a search of her belongings,” O’Keefe alleged. “He located a capped hypodermic needle and a Suboxone strip inside of her purse.”

A second officer arrived on the scene and she allegedly located two small bags of heroin – about 2.8 grams – inside her bra, during a search.
