N.H. Octoberfest On Tap at McIntyre Ski Area

Iconic Manchester, N.H. Ski Area to Host Second Food Truck Festival

MANCHESTER – After a successful Food Trucks for CASA back in June, the McIntyre Ski Area team was repeatedly asked “When’s the next one?” We’ve got an answer. McIntyre Ski Area is hosting N.H. Octoberfest October 20-22, 2017. With 15 food trucks, bands, and beer complemented by the beautiful fall colors at McIntyre, the event will be a weekend to remember.

The inaugural N.H. Octoberfest at McIntyre Ski Area kicks off at 4 p.m. on Friday, October 20, and Dr. Harp’s Blues Review will take the stage at 5 p.m.

Saturday, October 21, the event is open from noon until 8 p.m., with special VIP tickets available for just $10 that allow a limited number of event attendees to enter the event at 11 a.m. Saturday’s event schedule includes Clint LaPointe, Joe Rivet, and the rocking sounds of D C Blue.

Sunday, October 22, the event is open from noon until 4 p.m. Again, VIP early entry tickets are available for $10. The Chris White Band will be cranking from 11:30 a.m. until 3 p.m.

Bring your friends and family and spend the day trying cuisine from around the world, all made locally! Of course, there will be a German food truck – the Wurst Haus from Lake George, NY, will be present, serving schnitzel, knockwurst, and bratwurst (among other items). Other local favorites will be present, including Puerto Rican food truck Made with Love 603; Road Hawg BBQ Swine Dining, serving delicious BBQ with all the fixings; Chef Koz’ Crescent City Kitchen, with Cajun delights for all palates; and Mach’s Wood Fired Pizza out of Pawlet, VT, known for their commitment to the “localvore” movement. A full list of confirmed food truck vendors is available at www.nhoctoberfest.com, and will be updated frequently.

In addition to great food, the beer tent will feature beers from Harpoon Brewery, Manchester’s own Great North Aleworks, Samuel Adams, and Coors, as well as crisp Harpoon Cider.

Admission is $5 for adults and free for children 12 and younger. A special pre-purchase package of two admissions, four beer tickets (age verification required) and two desserts is just $35. Tickets may be purchased at www.nhoctoberfest.com.

A portion of the weekend’s proceeds will support the Special Olympics of New Hampshire’s winter programs. The Special Olympics’ programs give athletes continuing opportunities to develop physical fitness, demonstrate courage, experience joy and participate in a sharing of gifts, skills and friendship with their families, other Special Olympics athletes and the community.
