New Boston Hosts 84th Annual Fourth of July Event

The popular, award-winning celebration in the picturesque town offers fun for the entire family.

New Boston’s 84th Annual 4th of July Celebration officially begins Saturday morning at 10 a.m. when the award-winning parade steps-off at the top of High Street. New Boston’s parade is one of the most colorful and entertaining parades in the area, featuring marching bands; antique cars, trucks and fire apparatus; clowns; horses; the town’s oldest and newest citizens; and more! The highlight of the parade is seeing New Boston’s creativity (and fierce competition) in action through the fabulous street floats designed to this year’s parade theme: Musicals!

Festivities at the Hillsborough County Youth Center Foundation grounds (formerly 4H Fairgrounds – Route 13) begin immediately following the parade, beginning with the National Anthem and the traditional firing of the Revolutionary War-era Molly Stark Cannon by the New Boston Artillery Company. The famed chicken barbecue, mud volleyball tournament, fiddler’s contest, equestrian vaulting demonstration, and family entertainers and activities, are joined by an array of always-fun kids games and events, such as old-time Children’s Games: Sack races, three-legged races, and more!

Returning for an eighth consecutive season, New Boston Idol Karaoke at 7:00 pm! Hosted by Paul RoyEntertainment and featuring the judging prowess of New Boston’s own “Keith, J-Lo and Harry,” New Boston Idol Karaoke is a big-time crowd favorite and is not to be missed!
