MANCHESTER, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office is investigating an officer-involved shooting in Manchester on Friday morning.

Chief Allen Aldenberg of the Manchester Police Department said police were sent to the area of Pine and Plummer streets around 10:30 a.m. to take a man into custody who police had been searching for during the past 24 to 48 hours. The suspect was reportedly involved in criminal activity in other communities.

Police found the suspect inside a vehicle and made contact with him. Aldenberg said the situation then “escalated.” SWAT was activated and surrounded the vehicle “in an effort to take the suspect into custody,” he said.
