NH Child, 6, Possibly Overdoses: Cops

AMR EMTs were sent to a Manchester home yesterday for an unresponsive child who was revived with an opiate antagonist.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in the Queen City are investigating a possible child overdose from yesterday morning, according to a press alert. Manchester Police were called to Conant Street at around 6 a.m. on July 18, 2017, for a report of an unresponsive child – a 6-year-old boy – who was revived by EMTs. The EMTs, who work for AMR, reported that the child was unconscious and medical personnel administered an opiate antagonist to revive the boy, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

The boy was stabilized and transported to a local hospital.

“He has since been placed in the care of a family member, but remains hospitalized,” O'Keefe stated. "There is no additional information to provide at this time as juvenile detectives continue to investigate the incident.”
