Police in Manchester report stabbing victims on Walker Street, a shooting on Lake Avenue, six arrested for rioting on Walker Street again.

MANCHESTER, NH — It’s been a busy evening in New Hampshire’s largest city. According to police, officers were sent to a report of a large fight on Walker Street in the area of Sweeny Park tonight. Two victims, according to Lt. Joseph Mucci of the Manchester Police Department, sustained injuries.
One reported multiple non-life threatening laceration-stab wounds and the second sustained what appeared to be a facial fracture after being struck with an unknown object, according to Mucci.
“It appears that both the victims and suspects know each other and there is no risk to the public at this time,” he noted.

Later, officers were sent to Lake Avenue for a report of shots fired. When they arrived, they spoke to a victim who was armed with a Glock handgun, according to Mucci.
“The victim advised that he was outside working on a vehicle when a person he knows from prior contacts approached him armed with a pistol,” Mucci alleged. “The victim reported that the suspect fired three rounds in his direction however he was not hit.”

A statewide officer safety BOLO – "be on the lookout" – announcement was issued at around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 21, 2018, identifying a suspect in the shooting incident, a Manchester resident with priors, but police have not publicly released his name at this time.
Officers were then called back to Walker Street again for an even larger fight reportedly involving knives.
“Responding units located multiple subjects in the street engaged in an altercation due to the previous incident,” Mucci stated. “An elderly woman was struck in the face and lost consciousness during the incident. Six involved parties were arrested and charged with felony riot.”
Police are in the process of booking the six individuals but their information is not available at press time.
Police are asking anyone with information about the incidents to call the Manchester Police Department at 603-668-8711.
