NH Gang Unit Seized Dope, Cash: Report

A suspended license traffic stop 8 days ago led to Nicholas Pena being arrested after cops allegedly found 2 lbs. of marijuana and cash.

MANCHESTER, NH — A Queen City man was arrested last week on drug dealing and other charges after a traffic stop in Manchester, according to police. Nicholas Pena, 22, of Manchester, was arrested on April 10, 2018, for felony possession of a controlled drug-marijuana with intent to distribute and contempt of court. On April 2, he was charged with operating after suspension-second offense and transportation of a controlled drug.

The gang prevention unit in Manchester pulled over a vehicle on Laurel Street near Belmont on April 2, after a check yielded an operating after a suspended license violation, according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe of the Manchester Police Department.

“Marijuana was seen in plain view during the initial stop,” O’Keefe stated.

The vehicle was impounded while officers applied for a search warrant. After approval of the warrant and a search, police allegedly found a quarter of a pound of marijuana hidden in the vehicle. Police then issued a warrant against him for intent to distribute.

This morning, a SWAT team along with the gang prevention unit and special enforcement division went to Pena’s home on Manchester Street to execute another search warrant. Inside the home, police allegedly found 2 lbs. of marijuana, more than $600 in cash, scales, and packaging inside of his apartment. Pena was then arrested.

Pena was due to be arraigned in Hillsborough County Superior Court-North today.
