BEDFORD, NH — The New Hampshire Attorney General’s Office and Bedford Police Chief John J. Bryfonski announced Theodore Luckey, 42, of Asbury Park, New Jersey has been charged with an additional murder count.

Luckey was previously charged with two counts of second-degree murder and three counts of being a felon in possession of a deadly weapon in connection with an incident at the Country Inn & Suites in Bedford. In addition to those pending charges, Luckey has now been charged with one count of first-degree murder, which alleges that: "Mr. Luckey purposely caused the death of Nathan Cashman by inflicting multiple chop wounds to Nathan Cashman’s body with a machete-type knife."

The hotel has remained closed since the incident on Aug. 21. New Hampshire State Police Major Crime investigators remained on the scene for five days investigating and gathering evidence. State police gave control back to the hotel, and a bio-hazard company specializing in crime scene clean-up did work at the hotel.
