One Killed, Another Wounded After Queen City Shooting

NH AG: A homicide investigation is underway after an incident on Spruce Street this afternoon.

MANCHESTER, NH - It was another violent afternoon in the Queen City on June 1, 2016, as police and investigators from the attorney general’s office are eyeing a shooting scene that left man dead and a woman injured.

At just before 3:30 p.m., police were sent to the back of a building at 135 Spruce St. in Manchester. When they arrived, they found a man dead in the parking lot.

“That deceased male had what appeared to be gunshot wounds,” according to John Kennedy, an assistant attorney general. “The Office of the Chief Medical Examiner will be conducting an autopsy tomorrow to determine his exact cause and manner of death.”

Last week, less than three blocks from this location, police arrested four individuals, one who allegedly fired a handgun into the air. It’s unknown if the incidents are related or if they were just in the same area of the city.

Jeffrey Hastings, a local photographer who runs the Manchester Information Facebook site, reported earlier tonight that the shooter is still at-large.
