Pair Face Prostitution Charges

Goffstown man, Manchester woman arrested in the middle of a sex act in a local parking lot.

Manchester Police last night arrested a man and woman on prostitution charges after allegedly catching them in the middle of a sex act in a parking lot.

Thomas Brown, 55, of Timberwood Drive in Goffstown, was arrested at around 5:30 p.m. on Jan. 14, on a prostitution charge. Also arrested was Macy Laplante, 26, of Manchester, who was also charged with prostitution and held on $500 cash bail, due to previous charges.

According to police, officers noticed a woman approaching different vehicles on Manchester and Maple streets, as they passed by her. She was later picked up and driven to an empty part of the East Side Plaza parking lot on Hanover Street.

“After a few minutes the officers approached the vehicle and witnessed the female subject performing a sexual act on the male subject,” according to Sgt. Craig Rousseau of the Manchester Police Department. “Upon further investigation by the officers it was discovered the male had paid the female forty dollars to perform the sex act.”

Brown was released on personal recognizance bail. Laplante will be arraigned later today.

Officers have been “paying special attention” to certain areas of New Hampshire’s largest city in an effort to crack down on prostitution activity and quality of life issues in certain neighborhoods, according to police.
