Police Impersonator Allegedly Steals Pickup Truck from NH Auto Dealership
Real officers are asking for the public's help IDing this man wearing a Mass. State Police jacket claiming to be an officer from Merrimack.

MANCHESTER, NH — Police in the Queen City are asking for the public’s help with a case of a man allegedly impersonating a police officer and making off with a pickup truck from a local dealership on Monday. The incident occurred at just before 10 a.m. on Dec. 19, 2016, after police were called to Team Nissan on Keller Street for a report of a vehicle theft.
One of the sales staffers alleged that a heavy set white man, about 6 feet tall, came into the dealership to test drive a pickup truck.
“The man identified himself as ‘Adam Foley’ and claimed to be a Merrimack, NH, resident,” according to Lt. Brian O’Keefe from the Manchester Police Department. “He was wearing a black jacket with the Massachusetts State Police emblem on the left breast pocket when he asked to test drive a gray 2011 Chevrolet Silverado. The individual flashed a ‘badge’ from his wallet when he was asked for a license, but never provided a license to the salesman.”
